Villa Garzón. In the last few hours, at the settlement of Villa Nueva de Yurilla, municipality of Puerto Guzmán, troops from the Army’s 27th Jungle Brigade, while performing military control activities in the area, assisted a young guerrilla woman found abandoned by her comrades, after engaging in serious combat with troops from Infantry Battalion 25, General Roberto Domingo Rico Díaz.

Monday. Because of the Force’s need, Colombia’s National Army convenes Extraordinary Course Number 81 as noncommissioned officers for professional soldiers. The invitation is sent out to all the different Operational Units so that they can propose their candidates.

Given the interest in every country to protect the environment, Colombian Armed Forces assumed their responsibility before the National Environmental Service and set out a strategic environmental plan. To perform the interinstitutional cooperation agreement entered into by Servicio Nacional de Aprendizaje SENA, Cundinamarca regional office, designed a program focused on the formation of personnel from High Mountain Battalions, as professional technicians in handling and conservation of snowcapped mountain forests.
