In the eastern Antioquia, will be built Energy and Roadway Battalion No.4 "Brigadier General Jaime Polania Puyo" will be assigned to the Fourth Brigade, and with it will increase the security structures and combats against armed groups operating outside the law creating with this more progress.
The Commander of the Fourth Army Brigade, Brigadier General Alberto Jose Mejia Ferrero, received from the mayor of the municipality of San Carlos, Francisco Javier Alvarez, the writings of the field "The Dream", with 60 hectares of land that had a cost 800 million pesos for the construction of the Special Energy and Roadway Battalion No. 4 (BAEEV 4), a unit that will be stationed in the village of Dinamarca.
The commitment will be to ensure the security and peace of the inhabitants of the municipalities of Concepcion, Santo Domingo, Alexandria, San Rafael, San Carlos, Guatapé, El Penol, San Luis and Granada, and all of eastern Antioquia.
The ceremony was held on the campus of the unit and was attended by military authorities, civil and ecclesiastical authorities in the region, who witnessed the unveiling of the monument, symbolic placement of the cornerstone and the blessing of the land by the Reverend father of the municipality of San Carlos.
With the construction of the Energy and Transport Battalion, the Army will optimize the defense of national sovereignty, internal order and territorial integrity through the development of offensive operations that enable them to exercise control in the nine municipalities in which the tactical unit has jurisdiction.
The Energy and Roadway Battalion No. 4 "Brigadier General Jaime Polania Puyo" from now and will begin construction at an estimated cost of 20 billion pesos, money that will be supported by the Army Command in coordination with CORNARE.
