Attacks from terrorist groups on medical personnel, another form of violation of international humanitarian law

More than 21 registered cases of violations of medical missions in the country so far this year, reported today the Ministry of Social Protection, during the radio program of the Ministry of Defense, "By law of Colombia", which airs every Thursday from 08 : 30 to 09:00 am, discusses issues related to Human Rights and Humanitarian Law.

Dr. Diana Sofia Canencia, Professional Specialty Group Emergency and Disaster of the Ministry of Social Protection, told through the 63 stations of the Army, what is the medical mission and the types of violations that affects it.

It also revealed the latest report on violations of the medical mission, which details 21 cases across the country, especially threats to health workers and announced programs being conducted by the national government to face this kind of violation of law International Humanitarian Law by terrorist groups.
