Troops from the Joint Task Action Force, from the second Division reported in the last hours the location of a laboratory and the dismantling of two hideouts with war material and explosives from the Farc in Norte de Santander.
Initially in the sector known as Los Balsos in El Tarra, units from the 33rd Mobile Brigade located a laboratory used by terrorists from the ‘Arturo Ruíz’ group for the processing of coca base paste.
During the operations the soldiers confiscated more than 600 kilos of shredded coca leaf, 450 kilos of fertilizer, 20 kilos of caustic lime, 72 gallons of fermented coca, 55 gallons of gasoline and eight liters of ammonia. At the time were eradicated five hectares of illegal crops.
Simultaneously, troops from the 30th Mobile Brigade deployed in the town of La Paz, of the same municipality, dismantled a hideout with 35 antipersonnel mines; which were destroyed in a controlled way by explosive experts from the unit.
Finally in the town of Diferendo in the municipality of Teorama, the troops achieved the location of a camp with 18 resting areas and a hideout, were the terrorists kept occult eight improvised explosive devices, 15 kilos of anfo and three meters of cable.
