The deadly traps were located by troops of the XVII Brigade and the Mobile Brigade No. 25 in rural areas of the municipalities of Cáceres and Ituango.
Seven minefields were found there, five of them were of a rosary (string activation) and the remaining two were composed of bullets, gunpowder and would be activated by electrical pressure system to the passage of the military. According to the Army, landmines have been planted by members of fronts 36 and 18 of the Farc, which are present in North and Bajo Cauca Antioquia.
In other operations performed by the same army brigades, four explosive devices were found in the municipality of Puerto Libertador, department of Bolivar.
