Attack from the Farc leaves 4 deaths and 12 military men wounded

La estación de Policía ubicada en el corregimiento de El Mango, jurisdicción de Argelia, en el departamento del Cauca, fue atacada e incomunicada por guerrilleros del frente 60 de las Farc, quienes dispararon elementos explosivos contra las instalaciones en la noche de este lunes festivo.
The police station located in El Mango, jurisdiction of Argelia, in Cauca, was attacked and in communicated by guerrilla men of the Farc with explosive elements against the installation in the night of the Monday.
An Arpía Helicopter arrived to the zone with the purpose of counteracting the attacks against the policemen that gave custody to the station and that according to the preliminary information obtained in an sporadic way by the agents, via cel phone, there would be three dead uniformed men and 12 more wounded.
By 11 PM on Monday, sources of the police informed that the situation was delicate due to the fact that several policemen were losing too much blood and their lives were in danger. Units of the Army and a mobile squadron were trying to arrive to the place.
As a revenge to the actions that the Public Force has been doing in Cauca, against the finances of the Farc, qualified the commander of the region 4 of the Police, General Orlando Pineda, the attack of the guerrilla to the station in El Mango of Argelia, left 4 dead men and 16 wounded.
“An artifact affects one of the groups that is doing contention and reaction and there we have four dead policemen and others wounded. In the area are doing operations against drug traffic and eradication. On an strategic area for the drug traffic and the criminal bands”, pointed out the officer.
The troops contained the attack of the front 60 of the Farc in El Mango, Argelia, till 2 AM of the morning of the Tuesday with the support of Air Force Helicopters and the National Police.
In the zone, units from the Mobile Squadron are doing operations for taking the control and find the responsible for the crime.
