Members of the ELN asked for protection to the Army at Valle del Cauca

Bogota. In the last hours, at Valle del Cauca, two members of the ELN ran away and presented themselves in a voluntary way towards the troops of the National Army, were they asked for protection.
The turns in were produced in the facilities of the Engineers Battalion No.3 “Coronel Agustin Codazzi” stationed in the municipality of Palmira.
The suspects, belonged to the group “Lucho Quintero Giraldo” of the ELN informed the soldiers of a severe lack of food supplies, mistreatments that they received from the heads and the continuous operations made by the troops in the sector that made them to take the decision of turning in and pass to the Humanitarian Attention Program to the Demobilized promoted by the National Government.
