The Office of Environmental Management from the First Division of the Army, the Health Office of Atlántico and the Occupational Health Unit from the Military Police Battalion No.2 made an environmental management, health and animal care seminar.
During the instruction four doctors, an environmental engineer talked about the drug surveillance, animal care and vectors, management of solid residuals, final disposition of hospital residuals and food manipulation.
In this way, the personnel that work in the military medical center and the higher ranks officers from the Second Brigade studied the importance of the cleaning process and purification for avoiding diseases transmitted by insects and animals. Also explained the importance of developing the monitoring of security involving medications and detect and prevent any event with their use.
“The security, hygiene and perfect manipulation of these elements and residuals is a concern of the medical services, that its why this kind of instructions are important for contributing with the mitigation and control of health risks and environmental situations, in the same way guaranteeing the users of the health services an adequate service that may not affect the public health and the environment” said the Environmental Engineer from the National Army Maribel Coneo.
