Heavy strike from the Army against the Farc in Putumayo

On development of the joint operations between the units from the National Army and the Air Force, headed in Putumayo, was located a hideout with abundant material, communications and explosives from terrorists from the Farc.

During the operations, headed in the town of La Unión in the municipality of Puerto Asis, troops from the 27th Jungle Brigade and the Mobile Brigade No.13 were confiscated 26 rifles, four of them with a telescopic sight used by snipers, a PKM machinegun, a 9mm Glock, 16 Nimrod mines, 12 grenades of 40mm, 5111 war cartridges, ammunition magazines and grenades.

Also six communication radios, 3.000 meters of detonation fuse, 60 meters of duplex cable, 55gallons of gasoline, five antipersonnel mines, a 40 pounds cylinder prepared with explosives, a can full of shrapnel, nine uniforms from the Military Forces among other elements.

Also a computer was confiscated, a hard drive, documents and propaganda from the clandestine communist party and the Farc.

This result constitutes on one of the heaviest strike to the terrorist structures of the Farc in the southern area of the country.
