Explosive expert from the Farc was captured at the southern area of Tolima

In the last hours, on development of the offensive operations troops from the 8th Mobile Brigade from the Zeuz Task Force in coordination with the troops from the CTI, captured a member from the support net of the Farc in Tolima.

The 51 years old man, was apprehended in the town of La Armenia in the municipality of Planadas, were soldiers are heading operations against the terrorists from the ‘Alfredo Gonzalez’ group.

The captured one who besides doing activities in coordination for their intelligence and logistics of explosives was the liaison in communications with the sixth group of the Farc that commits crimes in Cauca with the central joint command of the criminal organization.

According to the preliminary investigations the subject had a wide knowledge about his base area and the mobility corridors of the structure that is why he had the task of harassing and strengthening the support net with attacks with improvised explosive artifacts while detecting the presence of the troops.

The captured one was required by the Second Judge of Popayán, Cauca, and had a capture order for the homicide.
