12th Brigade aids pregnant woman and an elder male in Caquetá

Yesterday troops from the 35th Infantry Battalion from the 12th Brigade in coordination with the Aviation Battalion from the Army, in a humanitarian action evacuated and aided a pregnant woman and an elder male who had peritonitis. The action was developed at the northern area of the department.
On a first action the units evacuated a woman in delivery labor from the Inspection of San Antonio de Getuchá, municipality of Milán, Caquetá to a medical center at the capital of the department. The 36 years old lady from the Agua Negra indigenous community had a high risk delivery labor symptoms or high multiple obstetrician risk.
On a second action a 70 years old man who had appendicitis and presented a complication due peritonitis was evacuated from the Inspection of Unión Peneya, municipality of La Montañita, Caquetá. The evacuation was made in an aircraft from the Aviation Battalion from the Army towards a medical center in Florencia.
