Troops from the Sixth Division of the National Army located a hideout with abundant ammunition, destroyed seven explosive artifacts and neutralized an illegal refinery in operations headed at the southern area of the country.
On a first operation, soldiers from the Special Energetic and Road Battalion No.9 from the 27th Brigade located a hideout from the group 48 of the Farc in the town of El Varadero at the municipality of Valle del Gaumez, Putumayo.
In the site the troops confiscated 5187 war cartridges and seven ammunition magazines for FAL rifles, which had as destiny the different groups from the southern block, which commit crimes in Caquetá and Putumayo.
As well in the hideout were kept 6 explosive artifacts with a pressure relief system, which were destroyed in a controlled way by members from the EXDE group from the military unit.
In the same way, troops from the 35th Infantry Battalion from the 12th Brigade located a can type explosive artifact with a pressure relief system at the inspection of Unión Peneya at the municipality of La Montañita, Caquetá.
