5th International Strategic Communications Seminar of the National Army begins

During three days, nearly 120 participants, including officers, NCOs, professional soldiers and civilians, and almost 400 virtual participants, will exchange knowledge with delegations from Argentina, Brazil, Ecuador, United States, Mexico, Peru and Chile.

Under the direction of Lieutenant Colonel Manuel Felipe Céspedes Ramos, director of the National Army's Strategic Communications Directorate, he opened the seminar and highlighted the importance of this space for strengthening communication in the military and strategic sphere.

Meanwhile, Brigadier General Martha Rocío David Bastidas, commander of the Procurement Command, highlighted the participation and articulation of the institution's units throughout the country.

In addition, the event will be attended by General Hugo López Barreto, Joint Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces; General Luis Emilio Cardozo Santamaria, Commander of the National Army and the Second Commander, Major General Erik Rodríguez Aparicio, who will lead and share their vision on the future of institutional communication in the defense sector.

During the seminar, participants will have access to high prestige conferences, given by recognized national and international experts in strategic communication, artificial intelligence and crisis management.

Among the topics to be addressed are:

• The influence of artificial intelligence in the digital world.
• Military journalism with international projection.
• Legal consequences of mismanagement of social networks.
• Strategic management of digital platforms.
• Communication trends and their impact on security.
