The structures were valued at 60 million pesos and generated resources for organized armed groups in the rural area of Santa Rosa, south of Bolívar.
Military operations carried out by the troops of the Jungle Battalion no. 48 of the Fifth Brigade, assigned to the Second Division, allowed to find and destroy three laboratories for the processing of coca paste in the San Emilio and Caracolí villages, in the Santa Rosa municipality of Bolivar.

The wooden structures were valued at approximately 60 million pesos and produced ten thousand grams of coca paste per month, which represent 26 million pesos that apparently favored the finances of illegal armed groups that operate in that part of the country.

The laboratories contained 680 gallons of coca paste in process, 400 kilograms of chopped coca leaf, 250 kilos of caustic soda, 50 tons of ammonia, 260 gallons of diesel oil, 200 kilograms of lime and three wood presses.

This type of actions significantly affect the finances of illegal armed groups, weakening criminal actions and reducing violent acts generated by the production of harmful substances.
