In the International Airport of Tabatinga, Brazil, by means of a military ceremony that gathered the Armies of more than 20 countries, the Army of Brazil began the 2017 Amazonlog Multinational Exercise, which will be developed in the coming days in the South American Amazon.
The act sought to exalt the altruism of peoples and nations, men and women, civilians and military when facing adversities in favor of the preservation of human life and the defense of the environment.
Additionally, the troops of the Colombian National Army had the honor of participating in this event in Brazil with about 150 men and women of the Infantry of the Brigade against Drug Trafficking. Members of the Engineers Command and Military Health, and soldiers of the Support of Integral Action and Development Command, all highly trained, participated as well.
Colonel Jorge Eduardo Cepeda Jiménez, Director of Amazonlog Colombia Exercise, will have the mission to lead, during the next days, this pioneering initiative in the logistics area that intends to integrate the doctrines of employment of the participating armies.
