Members of the Military Engineers Command exchanged knowledge on installation of semi-permanent modular metal bridges with non-commissioned officers of the United States Army.
In order to strengthen knowledge on installation of semi-permanent modular metal bridges, personnel from the Military Engineers Command, the Special Engineers Brigade and the Special Operations Battalion No.90 welcomed a commission from the South Carolina National Guard of the United States Army at the Tolemaida Military Fort.
The activity, which will run until May 25, began with the presentation of the differential capabilities of the Military Engineers, who, once again, demonstrated the strengths of the Institution regarding social development and benefits for the most remote communities of the country. Subsequently, theoretical and practical training was provided at the Special Operations Engineers Battalion facilities.
During the practical activities, the Military Engineers will make a demonstration of how semi-permanent modular metal bridges are assembled following the specifications of the Colombian Army. This capacity has allowed building nine bridges, meeting the needs of the inhabitants of different areas of the country, to contribute to the development of these type of structures in the United States, as well as to receive their knowledge to improve the ones that are made in Colombia.
