Outstanding participation of the Armed Forces team in the Boxing Championship The boxing team of the Armed Forces had an outstanding participation in the National Boxing Championship held in Tunja

The Armed Forces team won seven medals during the Elite National Boxing Championship held in Boyacá.
The Elite National Boxing Championship (senior, male and female categories) was held in the Indeportes Coliseum, in Tunja, where the team of the Colombian Armed Forces participated and achieved a spot on the winners podium.

The competitions were held in the Coliseum of the capital of Boyacá and allowed qualification for the National Games 2019. The Armed Forces team won seven medals.

In 56 kg weight, Private John Martinez obtained the gold medal. Two silver medals were obtained by Privates Nerkis Padilla, 49 kg, and Juver Rentería, 75 kg. Four bronze medals were obtained by Second corporal Marlon Rangel in 60 kg, Private José Todecilla in 64 kg, Marine Frank Herreño in 91 kg and Jorman Diaz in 52 kg.

Delegations from Cundinamarca, Bogota, Boyacá, Santander, Meta, Arauca, Antioquia, the Colombian Boxing Federation, Nariño, Tolima, Norte de Santander, Bolívar, Atlántico, Valle del Cauca and Córdoba participated in the National Boxing Championship.
