Army locates illicit warehouse belonging to the residual organized armed group 40th Front Inside the warehouse, 14 antipersonnel mines and eighty-two 5.56mm cartridges were found

14 antipersonnel mines and eighty-two 5.56mm cartridges were found by soldiers of the Infantry Battalion No. 21 Batalla Pantano de Vargas, in Mesetas, Meta.
In the village of Las Mercedes, in the municipality of Mesetas, Meta, troops of the Infantry Battalion No. 21 Batalla Pantano de Vargas of the Seventh Brigade, in coordination with the SIJIN of the National Police and in compliance with the Operation Destreza, found and destroyed an illicit warehouse that allegedly belonged to the residual organized armed group 40th Front Jacobo Arenas.

Inside the warehouse, 14 anti-personnel mines, 82 cartridges caliber 5.56 mm, a green multipurpose vest, a full harness and four equipment belts were found. The material was made available to the competent authorities.

This discovery is an important benefit for the community, because damage to the physical integrity of the inhabitants is avoided and the security of rural areas is strengthened.
