Colombian Battalion No. 3 celebrates 44 years of service abroad

Its mission on the African continent began in 1982, when it joined the Multinational Force of Observers with the first contingent of 500 Colombian soldiers. To date, the Colombian Infantry Battalion No. 3 has contributed 126 rotations of military personnel to this mission.

The Colombian Battalion No. 3 is committed to the stabilization and implementation of the peace agreement between Israel and Egypt. Its members are trained at the International Missions and Comprehensive Action Center to carry out deployments and missions in the Sinai Peninsula.

On its 44th anniversary, it reaffirms its operational effectiveness, along with the preparedness of its troops, and has earned recognition from armies around the world for its unique capacity to guarantee security and ensure compliance with the peace agreement.
