    Ivn Duque Mrquez
    The President of the Republic was born in Bogot on August 1, 1976. He graduated in Law from the Sergio Arboleda University, with major studies in Philosophy and Humanities. He is an expert in economics, with executive studies at Harvard and masters degrees in Public Policy Management, from Georgetown University, and in Economic Law, from the American University.

  2. Minister of the Defense

    Guillermo Botero Nieto
    Minister Botero graduated in Law from the Universidad de los Andes, where he was also a teacher. He is a businessman with extensive experience, combining his practice of law with business activities related to foreign trade and logistics, while being linked to trade associations.

  3. General Commander of the Military Forces

    General Alberto Jos Meja Ferrero
    He was born on February 9, 1963 in Bogot D.C., and entered the Military School of General Cadets Jos Mara Crdova on February 6, 1978, where he graduated as a Second Lieutenant of the Infantry Weapon on June 1, 1981. He was promoted to the rank of General on December 1, 2015.

  4. Commander of National Army of Colombia

    General Ricardo Gmez Nieto, from Tunja, Boyac, took over as commander of the National Army of Colombia on November 30, 2017 by appointment of the President of the Republic, Juan Manuel Santos.
