The illegal substance was hidden in a tank car normally used to transport gas.
The information provided by a human source, and the experience of the troops, led to give a forceful blow to the drug trafficking structures of Huila, seizing a millionaire cargo of marijuana valued at approximately 2500 million pesos.

The data provided led to stop the tank car in the village of El Mármol in the municipality of Isnos, and start with an inspection process, which along with the nervousness shown by the driver, allowed to confirm the suspicions and to intensify the registration made by the soldiers of the Infantry Battalion no. 27 -Magdalena of the Ninth Brigade.

Once the lid of the tank was removed, the marijuana packages were exposed: they were covered with wraps and ribbons of different colors, apparently to identify each of the recipients.

According to the driver, the vehicle covered the route Popayán-Pitalito-Bogotá. However, the investigative work has established that the cargo would be moved between Cauca and Caquetá and from there to Brazil, a destination where the cargo would have increased its value, allowing this criminal structure to obtain significant profits, considering that the cargo could be divided into 1.5 million doses.

During this operation against drug trafficking, Ronald Fraibel Araque Rodríguez, 32, was arrested; the man together with the drug and the vehicle were put at the disposal of the Technical Corps of Investigation (CTI by its acronym in Spanish) for prosecution purposes.

The troops of the Ninth Brigade continue to fulfill their constitutional duty, facing all types of crimes, this time, those that threaten the safety and public health of the inhabitants of the country.
