During the last inter-institutional development support campaign carried out in rural area of the municipality of Valparaiso, Caquetá, the inhabitants of 17 villages were benefited.
While executing the Cooperation and Development strategic axis of the Victoria Plan for Stabilization and Consolidation, the Twelfth Army Brigade, along with the Colombian Air Force, Social Prosperity and the City Hall of Valparaiso, held an inter-institutional development support campaing in the district of Santiago de la Selva, in which 1878 social services were provided to the vulnerable population.
During the activity, the inhabitants of 17 villages of the south of the Caquetá department were benefited after suffering the ravages of the conflict due to clashes between organized armed groups. In this new era, they began to perceive the presence of the State with these actions.
With the articulation led by the Infantry Battalion no. 34 - Juanambú and the support of the Combat Air Command no. 6, a total of 214 children receievd growth and development controls, 62 were assessed by pediatrics, 131 were attended by dentists, 84 by general practitioners, 28 by physiotherapists, 24 by psychologists and occupational therapists, as well as nurses.
Likewise, 150 hairdressing services were provided by the Santa Clara Beauty Foundation, 107 medical formulas were dispatched, 57 vaccination schemes were completed. Gor its part, the Military Gaula of Caquetá provide 79 counseling services, while the Humanitarian Demining Battalion no. 1 oriented 45 residents, and the Colombian Institute of Family Welfare to 37.
Finally, 4258 elements were donated to the population and 700 inhabitants of the sector attended open-air recreation and film sessions.
With these actions, the Twelfth Army Brigade articulates efforts to reach the most remote places of the country to take State services through the capabilities of the Force.
