Third Orinoco River - Vichada Expedition Challenge 2017, an adventure in eastern Colombia The challenge is designed for bike enthusiasts.

The soldiers of Engineers Battalion no. 28 provide safety on the roads used by the riders.
In Primavera, Vichada, the Multimission Heroes of the Engineers Battalion no. 28 - Coronel Arturo Herrera Castaño participate in the farewell event and provide security to the cyclists of the Rally held on the occassion of the " Third Orinoco River - Vichada Expedition Challenge 2017", in which about 50 adventurous cyclists intend to do complete the race on their bikes. The event includes participants from Costa Rica, Puerto Rico and Colombia.

The soldiers of the 28th Engineers Battalion provide security on the roads used by the riders who travel from La Primavera to the Agua Verde district, and finally to the Puerto Carreño, thus completing the 683-kilometer challenge they undertook.

The challenge is designed for bike enthusiasts, because not everyone is capable to travel hundreds of kilometers from the Meta department to Puerto Carreño. The warriors that undertook the challenge had the opportunity to enjoy the wonderful scenery of the savannas of Meta and Vichada, all the way until the Orinoco, as well as the security provided by the Multimission soldiers of the National Army.
