At the Tolemaida Military Fort, the High Precision Shooters Advanced Course no. 07 and the Armament and Shooting Instructors course no. 30 were finalized.
High Precision Shooters Advanced Course no. 07 had the participation of 18 soldiers, who received a training for 4 weeks, during which they expanded their knowledge on military orientation, rifle shooting, telescopic sights, thermal sights, shooting from a moving boat on the Magdalena river aiming at moving and static objects, and shooting from an aerial platform. This group of military men acquired new differential capabilities focused on neutralizing the new persistent threats.
During the same military ceremony, the Armament and Shooting Instructors Course no. 24 was closed with a total of 45 soldiers, who met all the requirements after six weeks of training. The course provided training on ballistics, thermal sights, optronic and holographic sights, as well as employment and use of the weapons available to the Force.
With the presence of Brigadier General Jairo Leguizamón Rivas, commander of the National Training Center and the commanders of the organic schools, the closing ceremony was held. Personnel of the administrative body and non-commissioned officers of the Armed Forces received the knowledge from the qualified personnel of instructors of the unit directed to fulfill the mission.
