The National Army, through the Fourth Division and the Omega Task Force, activated the Democracy Plan to guarantee security and tranquility during the elections in Meta, Guaviare and Vaupes.
Officers, NCOs and Soldiers will be gradually deployed in the urban centers, townships and villages where the electoral process will take place. Our heroes are ready to cover 272 polling stations distributed in the departments of Meta, Guaviare and Vaups.

Through the Democracy Plan and with the soldiers of the Fourth Division and the Omega Task Force, security will be guaranteed to the citizens of the Colombian southeast, based on operational responsibility in the municipalities of the department of Meta, Guaviare, Vaups and two of the department of Cundinamarca: Medina and Paratebueno.

For this purpose, the Fourth Division led by Brigadier General Javier Alonso Daz Gmez, has made available the latest technology capabilities of the National Army, including air support with the aircraft of the Mobility and Maneuver Battalion No. 4, covering the main rivers and water tributaries of the department of Vaups, and deployed on the ground with the different military units which monitor and protect the roads of the Colombian southeast. In this way, we seek to safeguard the region during the elections.
