In the municipality of Puerto Carreño, soldiers of the Eighth Army Division found an illegal depot with 91 gallons of fuel.
During military operations carried out by soldiers of the Terrestrial Operations Battalion No. 70 found an illegal depot containing explosive material in the village of Monserrate, in the municipality of San José del Guaviare, department of Guaviare.
The depot contained 14 anti-personnel mines, 4000 kilos of R-1 explosives, 12 electric detonators and a 16-millimeter carbine. Another military operation developed in the village of San Juan Losada, municipality of La Macarena, Meta, allowed finding an illegal depot with five antipersonnel mines.
Furthermore, in the jurisdiction of the Eighth Division of the National Army, the soldiers found an illegal depot with 91 gallons of oil and three plastic containers in the village of Casuarito, municipality of Puerto Carreño, Vichada.
In this way the soldiers of the Colombian National Army continue to combat explosive devices, in compliance with international agreements and with their constitutional mission to safeguard the national sovereignty and the citizens.
