Ayacucho Battalion bets on the recovery of the environment through plantings

With the support of Aguas de Manizales, the Ministry of the Environment, the Escuela de Carabineros and the Manizales inhabitants, the Multimission Heroes of the Ayacucho Battalion promote the renovation of parks and tree planting.
In order to raise awareness about preservation and environmental sanitation in the city of Manizales, the Multimission Heroes of the Infantry Battalion No. 22 - Batalla de Ayacucho continuously participate in the planting of native plants of the region.

This environmental mission is being developed in coordination with Aguas de Manizales, the Ministry of the Environment, the the Escuela de Carabineros and the Manizales inhabitants.

This project was executed in the neighborhoods of Villahermosa, La Enea, El Campamento, among others, in order to involve the community in the recovery of green areas and to transform them into scenarios of integral social relationships, which enable the development of an environmental culture in the city.

This initiative challenges the institutions not only to make environmental control, but also to create alliances with the community to jointly enable important environmental management and development scenarios that lead to reflection, improvement of the quality of life of citizens and active and educational work.

The Multimission Heroes of the Ayacucho Battalion highlight their commitment and continuity with this type of projects that favor the conservation and improvement of the environmental conditions that contribute to the sustainable development of the city.

The officers, non-commissioned officers and soldiers of the Ayacucho Battalion continue to work jointly with public-private institutions, the academia and environmental authorities on risk mitigation strategies by generating projects for the development of urban and rural communities.
