In compliance with the Victoria Plus Campaign Plan for Stabilization and Consolidation and the Esparta military and police campaign in Catatumbo, Norte de Santander, soldiers of the Land Operations Battalions No. 8 and No. 11 of the Vulcano Task Force found and destroyed in a controlled manner two unexploded ordnance, one M-26 grenade and a 40 mm grenade, which were abandoned by the ELN in the villages of El Bejuco in Teorama and Guayabal in Hacar.
These actions prove, once again, that this illegal armed group intends to attack the inhabitants of the rural area and affect the troops that guarantee the security and defense of this region through terrorism.

These explosive devices were destroyed in a controlled manner by military units and special teams expert in explosives and demolitions.

The National Army, through the Vulcano Task Force, will continue to fulfill its duty by safeguarding the life and integrity of the Catatumbo people, and calls on the civilian population to report any act that threatens the communitys freedom to the toll-free lines 146 and 147.
