Men of the Second Division and the Integral Action and Development Support Command responded to an emergency call made by a man who was wounded with a knife in the department of Bolívar.
Troops of the Jungle Battalion No. 48 - Prócer Manuel Rodríguez Torices, of the Second Division, and the Integral Action Battalion No. 2, of the Integral Action and Development Support Command, responded to an emergency call made by Óscar Sedulfo Téllez-Atuesta, who was promptly evacuated due to very serious injuries.
This man, victim of a knife attack, was diagnosed with head injuries and received primary care at the Manuel Elkin Patarroyo Hospital. Then, he was transferred to the facilities of the Jungle Battalion No. 48 - Prócer Manuel Rodríguez Torices to be evacuated in a helicopter of the Mobility and Maneuver Aviation Battalion N. 2 to the city of Aguachica, where he received tertiary care due to the complexity of his injuries.
Undoubtedly, the timely reaction of our men and the mobilization of the man were essential to safeguard his life. For their part, the soldiers of the National Army will continue working for the welfare of the community and reiterating their commitment to support the population of the department of Bolívar.
