Permanent offensive operations in the south of the country to counter the criminal actions of armed groups

In the past hours, the Anti-Narcotics Brigade destroyed a laboratory used to produce cocaine hydrochloride and worth over 650 million pesos. The facilities were property of the organized armed group Óliver Sinisterra.
Within the framework of the Victoria Plus Campaign Plan, the Counterdrugs Brigade, the Army Aviation, troops of the Hercules Task Force and the National Police destroyed a laboratory located in the rural area of the municipality of Barbacoas, in Nariño. This laboratory was made up of eight structures and an accommodation facility for 30 people.
These structures are worth approximately 650 million pesos and contained the following materials: 330 gallons of acetone, 50 gallons of diesel oil, 120 kilos of lime, 40 kilos of caustic soda, 50 kilos of active carbon and abundant equipment and machinery used to produce drugs.
These actions confirm the commitment of the National Army to fight tirelessly the links of drug trafficking. The Air Assault Aviation Division command thanks the community for its valuable help, and invites them to continue providing timely information that leads to destroy the logistics structure and arrest the members of organized armed groups in this region of the country.
