Over 6000 people gathered in Medellin to enjoy the traditional Chivas and Flowers Parade that has delighted Antioquia inhabitants and visitors for years.
The National Army, through the Integral Action and Development Support Command, participated in the Chivas(1) and Flowers Parade within the framework of the Flower Fair 2018 with a flower chariot, the institutional papayera(2) show, break dancers and the Men of Steel Circus.

These events help us reach the communities and expose the artistic skills of our men, who are not only trained to provide security, but to bring joy, art and entertainment to all Colombians, said Major Henry Beltrn-Leyva, commander of the Integral Action Battalion No. 7.

This is the 17th version of the Parade, which took place from the Guayabal Avenue to the Cristo Rey Park, located in the southwest of the city of Medellin. The caravan was accompanied by delegations from different Antioquia municipalities, public and private institutions and foreign visitors.

I come from Cali. This is my first visit to Medellin to participate in the festivities and I find them incredible. It is really nice that the Army is involved in this type of activities, said Daniel Mosquera, assistant to the event.

The National Army will continue working along with public and private institutions to bring the entire institutional offer to the population. We are integration, vocation and development.
