Member of the residual organized armed group First Structure captured while transporting coca base paste Soldiers of the Twenty Second Jungle Brigade captured a subject that transported coca base paste and 5 million pesos apparently obtained from extortion.

While developing military operations against drug trafficking in the department of Guaviare, troops of the Twenty-Second Jungle Brigade captured a subject who was transporting coca base paste and five million pesos.
The event took place in the village of Las Damas in the municipality of Calamar, Guaviare, where the Twenty Second National Army Jungle Brigade, with troops from the Luis Carlos Camacho Leyva Infantry Battalion and framed in the Diamante Plan and article 217 of the Constitution, captured in flagrante delicto a man named Arturo Rico Esteban, of 28 years of age, who transported 1.7 kilograms of coca base paste and five million pesos, apparently product of the extortion to businesspeople and peasants of the rural sector of the municipality.

During the operation, a motorcycle and a cell phone were seized. The detainee was placed at the disposal of the National Police of the municipality of Calamar.

With this result, the National Army, through the Twenty-Second Jungle Brigade, corroborates its commitment and efforts against drug trafficking in the department of Guaviare, dismantling and minimizing illegal organized structures.
