PRESS RELEASE

1. Case of Neider José Cardona: The institution has promptly processed all authorizations resulting from his medical requests. Currently, he has been granted advance authorization for pain management services to explore advanced therapeutic alternatives. Additionally, procedures for nerve blocks to manage pain have been approved, and a consultation with the required specialist has been arranged to support his rehabilitation process.

2. Case of Edwin Erazo Henao: On April 10, inter-municipal transportation was provided to ensure his attendance at the audiometry appointment. To date, the Health Department has not received any new requests for transportation, lodging, or meals from the user, reaffirming that the institution has strictly complied with the requirements submitted thus far.

3. Case of Noelva Valenzuela (mother of minor D. A. S.): It is important to note that the administrative process for arranging transportation, lodging, and meal services for users is subject to the timely submission of documents to the Military Health Facility (ESM), as stipulated in Manual 2023-2026. However, Ms. Noelva did not submit the required documentation for this process in a timely manner to the Health Facility of the Vencedores Battalion in Cartago, Valle del Cauca.

Furthermore, this facility arranged an appointment in the city of Armenia with the specialist required by the minor and is currently making the necessary logistical arrangements for his therapies and other appointments scheduled for the month of May.

4. The National Army Health Directorate reiterates its commitment to the well-being of users of the Military Forces Health Subsystem; therefore, it invites them to submit their requests in accordance with current regulations, guidelines, and deadlines, which ensures the provision of effective, humane, and timely service.
