First Corporal Óscar Javier Estepa Tibaduiza is a family man, a native of the municipality of Sochaboyacá, who has found his life's work in the National Army. Upon entering the Military Non-Commissioned Officer School in 2017, he forged his character and reaffirmed his values, becoming a disciplined, responsible, and committed non-commissioned officer.

Throughout his career, he has served in different roles in units such as the 31st Transport Infantry Battalion Rifles, the 19th Jungle Infantry Battalion General José Joaquín París Ricaute, and the 21st ASPC (Combat Support and Services) Battalion, where he has demonstrated his leadership skills and dedication to the institution, standing out for his initiative and responsibility in each mission assigned.

In his current position as preservation noncommissioned officer of the 25th Land Operations Battalion, this soldier has focused his efforts on preserving the life and personal integrity of his unit, developing ongoing training, disseminating newsletters, and conducting drills and preventive activities in road safety.

Thanks to his leadership and the ongoing support of his superiors, the unit has had no incidents outside of combat during the course of this year, reflecting the effectiveness of the strategies implemented and the collective commitment to compliance with safety regulations.

First Corporal Óscar Estepa is an example to be followed by all members of the Colombian National Army. His nomination is a recognition of his hard work and dedication to the institution.
