Results against extortion continue: woman accused of intimidating and demanding money from citizens captured in Boyacá

As a result of these actions, troops from the Boyacá Military Gaula, in coordination with the CTI of the Attorney General’s Office, apprehended a woman on a public street in the Porvenir neighborhood of Bosa, Bogotá, in recent hours.

According to investigations conducted by the authorities, the suspect is allegedly linked to the crime of aggravated extortion, through illegal and intimidating financial demands directed at citizens of the department of Boyacá. The woman was handed over to the competent authority to proceed with the respective legal proceedings and determine her legal status.

The First Brigade reaffirms its commitment to the safety and protection of the people of Boyacá, strengthening its operational capabilities to combat crimes that threaten the freedom, integrity, and peace of mind of the population.

Likewise, it invites the public to promptly report any case related to extortion or kidnapping through the Military Gaula’s toll-free national hotline 147, available 24 hours a day, where absolute confidentiality is guaranteed.
