55 National Army officers are promoted at Tolemaida Military Fort

The ceremony was presided over by Brigadier General Federico Alberto Mejía Torres, commander of the National Training Center, accompanied by officers, noncommissioned officers, soldiers, family members, and special guests, who witnessed this significant moment in the military careers of those promoted.

The solemn ceremony began with a blessing administered by the military chaplain, who offered a prayer for the protection of those who wear the nation’s uniform and for their families. This was followed by a minute of silence in honor of the heroes who fell in the line of duty, remembering with respect and gratitude the sacrifice of those who gave their lives for the security, peace, and defense of Colombia.

One of the most moving moments of the ceremony was the presentation of the new insignia by the family members of the promoted officers, a symbol of the unconditional support they have provided throughout the years of service, effort, and dedication required by a military career.

This promotion represents institutional recognition of the professional excellence, leadership, and dedication of these men and women, who are taking on new challenges with greater responsibility and a firm commitment to continue working for the well-being of the Colombian people.
