Alias "Yoyo" or "Motorratón," accused of coordinating contract killings and strengthening the criminal activities of the Gulf Clan GAO in southern Cesar

The arrest was made possible by coordinated efforts among the authorities, allowing them to execute an arrest warrant against this individual, who is also the subject of an INTERPOL Blue Notice for his criminal activity.

According to investigations, this individual reportedly began his criminal activities within the now-defunct United Self-Defense Forces of Colombia (AUC), as a member of the Bolívar Central Bloc. Following the dismantling of that organization, he continued to carry out criminal activities independently and, in 2021, joined the Gulf Clan GAO, where he began serving as an intelligence operative in the municipality of Gamarra, Cesar.

He later rose through the ranks of the illegal organization as a hitman and, by 2025, had assumed the role of regional hitman chief for the Ferney Antonio López Polo substructure, exerting criminal influence primarily in the municipalities of Aguachica, Gamarra, and La Gloria, as well as in San Martín and San Alberto, in the department of Cesar.

This arrest significantly undermines the criminal capacity of this substructure of the Gulf Clan by neutralizing one of its main orchestrators of violent actions and strengthening security conditions for the population of southern Cesar.

The National Army will continue to carry out coordinated and interagency operations to counter the activities of organized armed groups and reaffirms its commitment to protecting the civilian population and maintaining peace in this region of the country.
