During coordinated and interagency military operations, troops from the National Army’s Omega Task Force captured Norbey Ramírez Salas, alias Cachetes or Cristian David, who is accused of leading one of the support networks for the residual structures of the Rodrigo Cadete Front within the Jorge Suárez Briceño Bloc of the FARC-EP dissidents.
This individual is believed to be a trusted associate of alias Urías Perdomo or Cotiz and allegedly participated in extortion, criminal logistics, the transport of explosives, and the surveillance of military units to carry out terrorist acts in southeastern Colombia.
The operation, carried out as part of the National Army’s Ayacucho Plus Operations Plan in the town of La Macarena, Meta, involved soldiers from Rapid Deployment Battalion No. 1, assigned to Rapid Deployment Force No. 1, in coordination with the DIJIN of the National Police, executed the arrest warrant issued in October 2025 by the Attorney General’s Office of the Department of Caquetá, in which alias Cachetes, the apprehended suspect, was wanted for the crime of aggravated conspiracy to commit a crime.
According to military intelligence and judicial documents, alias Cachetes is believed to have a criminal history of approximately two years within the Rodrigo Cadete structure, a criminal organization serving the Jorge Suárez Briceño Bloc, under the command of alias Calarcá Córdoba. Since 2024, he is believed to have assumed roles within terrorist support networks at the direct behest of alias Urias Perdomo or Cotiz, the main leader of that residual criminal structure.
His illegal activities reportedly include profiling victims for extortion and targeted killings, collecting extortion payments from merchants and ranchers, transporting weapons and explosives, delivering extortion demands, and conducting criminal surveillance against law enforcement in municipalities such as Cartagena del Chairá, Florencia, El Doncello, El Paujil, and San Vicente del Caguán, in the department of Caquetá.
According to investigations, alias Cachetes is also believed to have criminal influence in rural areas of La Macarena, particularly in zones such as Bocanas del Perdido, Aires del Perdido, Brisas del Losada, El Rubí, and San Juan de Losada, where he allegedly supported activities related to the control of illicit economies and the supply of explosives.
Intelligence reports indicate that, even days before his capture, the subject was reportedly monitoring military units of Rapid Deployment Force No. 1 with the intention of facilitating terrorist actions through the use of improvised explosive devices, thereby threatening the safety of the civilian population and the normal implementation of Democracy Plan 2026 in this region of the country.
The National Army’s Omega Task Force will continue to carry out sustained and coordinated military operations to weaken the criminal structures operating in Meta, Caquetá, and Guaviare, protecting the lives, peace, and security of communities in southeastern Colombia.
