Command handover at the National Army’s Recruitment and Reserve Control Command

The officer assumes responsibility for leading this strategic unit, receiving the standard from Colonel Henry Norvey Palomino Cano, who hands over a tenure characterized by efficiency in the recruitment and strengthening of the institution’s human resources.

During the ceremony, the documents formalizing the transfer of command were signed, a moment of profound administrative and military significance. In his remarks, Colonel Palomino Cano expressed deep gratitude to the soldiers and civilians who make up COREC, emphasizing that every goal achieved in the interest of national security and defense was made possible by the loyalty and tireless work of his team.

The outgoing officer expressed his gratitude to the institution for allowing him to lead this process and emphasized the honor of having worked on the life projects of so many young Colombians.

In recognition of his dedication, he was awarded the centennial medal for “distinguished service to the Simona Duque de Alzate Recruitment Command” and the Recruitment Command insignia; followed by the unveiling of his photograph in the commanders’ gallery, a gesture that perpetuates his legacy within the unit.

The event concludes in a warm, friendly atmosphere with colleagues sharing a meal, where attendees celebrate the success of the mission accomplished by the outgoing commander and toast the new challenges being taken on by Brigadier General Martha Rocío David Bastidas, who from this moment on will firmly lead the recruitment efforts of the National Army.
