National Army Artillery: 214 years of innovation, strength, and decisive power for Colombia

With a solemn military ceremony at the Artillery School, the National Army commemorated 214 years of the Artillery Corps, a key player in Colombia's history, protection, and stability.

The event highlighted the decisive role of artillerymen on the battlefield: soldiers and officers highly trained to employ power systems and tactical superiority that provide constant support to the troops who ensure security in every corner of the national territory.

One of the highlights of the commemoration was the leadership of CEMIL (Military Education Center) Director Colonel Jorge Hernán Triviño Charry, an artillery officer whose strategic vision drives the educational and doctrinal transformation of the Force, strengthening the country's military capabilities with professionalism, discipline, and technology in the service of the nation.

Today, the Artillery continues to evolve, incorporating modernized systems, greater operational precision, and high-level training processes, projecting itself as an indispensable branch of the military for facing present and future security challenges.
