National Army seizes two illegal mining operations

During the operation, two mining production sites were raided, in addition to the destruction of 14 engines, four motor pumps, 36 pieces of equipment for grinding mineral, and three tanks used to handle cyanide. This resulted in damage totaling nearly 166 million to the infrastructure used for this illicit activity and prevented an estimated monthly production of 3,000 grams of gold, valued at approximately 1,146 million pesos.

The Fourth Brigade, in coordination with the National Police, continues to carry out sustained military operations to combat the illegal exploitation of mineral deposits, disrupt the illicit economies of criminal groups, and protect natural resources, thereby contributing to the security and well-being of communities.
