Weapons presentation ceremony for the first contingent of 2026 held in Tunja and Chiquinquirá

Uniformed personnel participated in a military ceremony steeped in symbolism, discipline, and institutional commitment. The event was presided over by the commanders of the Sucre No. 2 Infantry Battalion, General Simón Bolívar No. 1 Infantry Battalion, and the Cacique Tundama No. 1 Combat Support and Sustainment Battalion, along with officers and non-commissioned officers, who joined the soldiers in this important moment in their military careers.

During the event, the young members of the contingent reaffirmed their oath of service to the homeland in a ceremony marking the formal beginning of their commitment to the country’s defense and security. The presence of their families created an atmosphere of pride and emotion, highlighting the support and companionship they receive in this new phase.

The ceremonies, held simultaneously in Tunja and Chiquinquirá, reflect the strengthening of institutional values and the National Army’s commitment to the comprehensive training of its personnel.

With this formal ceremony, the first contingent of 2026 officially begins its training and service, contributing to the fulfillment of the constitutional mission to protect the nation.
