Week of recess: Army will be at the entrances and exits of Bogotá
During this week of school recess, the soldiers of the Thirteenth Brigade of the National Army, within the framework of the Safe Travel campaign their Army is on the Road, will be deployed in a wide device that will cover the main road corridors of Cundinamarca and the entrances and exits of Bogotá.
8000 soldiers in military control operations and more than 1000 located specifically in road checkpoints, will guarantee the safety of travelers who move this week from Bogotá and on the roads of the department of Cundinamarca.
The soldiers will be carrying out military control tasks in the main road axes, to prevent any irregular situation, in joint and coordinated work with the National Police and municipal authorities, through 34 checkpoints. This will reinforce the message of "I do not pay, I denounce" to prevent the scourge of kidnapping and extortion or any crime that may affect citizens on these days of rest.
"It is important to remind citizens that it is in the rainy season, which implies taking greater preventive measures when mobilizing and consulting the state of the roads that are part of the route they are going to travel," the Army added.
The National Army also invites citizens to report any emergency or irregular situation through the toll-free lines #767 and 147 of the Military Gaulas.
