Major Sergeants complete academic program to strengthen their skills for new responsibilities

During this training phase, our senior noncommissioned officers participated in various academic modules designed to strengthen their professional capabilities in addressing the challenges inherent to their new rank.

PISAJ has been structured to address strategic leadership, decision-making, human talent management, and advising the command, competencies necessary for non-commissioned officers to assume greater responsibilities. This process represents a pivotal step in the military careers of non-commissioned officers, consolidating the knowledge and experience acquired over the years to optimize their contribution to mission fulfillment and service to the country.

One of the highlights of PISAJ 22 was the participation of 30 Army major sergeants, 12 major sergeants and technical chiefs from the Colombian Navy, 3 major sergeants from the Colombian Aerospace Force, and 2 major sergeants from Ecuador and Brazil. 

Both Major Sergeant Jorge Giovanny Basantes Cisneros of Ecuador and Major Sergeant Leandro Muzzi Pires of Brazil successfully completed their studies as participants in the 22nd Comprehensive Program for High-Ranking Non-Commissioned Officers at the Combined Arms School of the Military Education Center. They highlighted the operational and academic capabilities of our National Army, the professionalism of its instructors, the camaraderie that characterizes Colombian military personnel, and the country’s cultural richness.

The PISAJ program at the Army’s School of Combined Arms has established itself as a joint, international academic program that prepares future command major sergeants to assume new and greater responsibilities.
